Shafali has recently been phenomenal. After registering 64 and 68 in her previous two T20I features, she scored an unbeaten 40 versus Japan and then followed it up with an undefeated century against Bangladesh. India can get up and running very quickly thanks to her aggressive touch at the top of the order.
Athapaththu has had a similar impact on the Sri Lankan side. She has scored fifties in each of her two Asian Games matches so far, scoring 63 and an unbeaten 83. With the ball she has picked up 2–3 in one match and another wicket in her second appearance.
